Local Excursions

Both accompaniers and patients are kindly invited to venture out on a journey in exploring local sights and places of interest. Our excursions are specially designed to fit in your treatment and will in no way interrupt or hamster the cure process. Taking one of our daily or extended package trips will not only break the monotony of treatment but are proved to have enormous positive effect on the overall improvement of the physical and mental condition of those attending the treatment.

Sivas and Divrigi

To keep your spirits high during the long treatment period we have prepared some outdoor trips to the nearest cities of Sivas and Divrigi. Those excursions are optional and can be booked upon request in advance or anytime during the treatment period.

Anatolia region also referred to as 'cradle of civilization' boasts a vast cultural heritage dating back to 3000 B. C. Explore trails of ancient civilizations, admire beautifully landscaped rural areas and immerse in the local way of life.

The options for exploring the region are numerous starting from renting a car, hiring a professional guide or booking package weekend gateways to the neighboring locations such as Cappadocia, Antioch, Eastern Anatolia, Kayseri, Malatya or Ankara.

A full/ half-day excursion to Sivas

Sivas is a county in Eastern Anatolia located in the north part of the Yukari Kizilirmak valley. During the Hittite period (2000 B.C.), Sivas was a settlement of great importance and subsequently a cradle of the Sivas Frig Empire (1200 B.C.). In Lydian times the legendary Royal Road made its way through this glorious city. Sivas was served as the capital of the Seljuk Empire and was the centre of one of the most advanced civilizations of the times being called Darulala or exalted City.

Get ready to embark on a discovery journey to the antique town of Sivas. After a hearty breakfast our tutor will gather all excursion enthusiasts from the thermal hotel and will give you a ride to Sivas. The tour starts with a visit to the most remarkable city sights such as Gok Medrese, Sifahiye Medrese as well as the Ulu Mosque. Further attractions that are worth visiting are Cifte Minareli Medrese, Guduk Minaret and the beautiful Buruciye Medrese (theological school), today known as the Sivas Museum. A delicious lunch awaits you at the popular all over Turkey Niyazi Bey Restaurant in Sivas. In the afternoon enjoy a free time and take a stroll in the bazaar of Sivas with plenty of shops to explore. From the local gift shops you can buy Sivas kilims and carpets famed for their original colour and designs, woven hand bags and knitted socks, ornamented cigarette holders as well as silver pieces and bone combs and knife handles of supreme quality. A full half-day excursion to Divrigi

Divrigi is a town and a district of Sivas Province of Turkey a home to the most important works of architecture in Anatolia - Divrigi Great Mosque and the adjoining Medical Center (Darussifa), built simultaneously with the mosque by Turan Melek Sultan, daughter of the Mengucek ruler of Erzincan, Fahreddin Behram Shah, both included on UNESCO's World Heritage List by virtue of their exquisite carvings and architecture.

Pack your bags for an exciting trip to the enchanting town of Divrigi. The trip includes a visit to the famous Ulu Mosque and The Darussifa (also called Sifaiye Medrese) both under the protection of UNESCO as world cultural heritages for being a symbol of women and men equality in the far back 13th century. Try local cuisine in one of the renowned Divrigi restaurants. Additional spectacular sights to be visited are the Divrigi castle, the Sitte Melik, Kameraddin and Nureddin Salih mausoleums as well as Burma Han Caravanserai and the Mircinge Inn.
